We started Fitcoin with one simple goal. We wanted to see if we could actually reward people for the effort they put into their fitness. Most of the apps out there just give you a digital trophy or a chart, but we thought your daily movement should have real value.
As the technical cofounder, my job is to make sure the app actually works the way it should. We have been live for a few months now, and seeing the community grow has been incredible. Seeing people hit their daily goals and climb the leaderboards is what keeps us moving.
Technical progress
We are spending most of our time right now making the iOS experience as smooth as possible. We are pushing updates almost every day to fix small bugs and improve how we track data. For everyone on Android, we know you are waiting. We are building the Android version now and we won't ship it until it feels just as good as the iOS app.
Expanding the rewards
We are also focused on bringing in better rewards. We want the store to have things you actually want to use. Whether it is gear for your next run or just a discount on your coffee, we are talking to new partners every week to make that happen.
Looking forward
This is just the beginning for us. We are reading all the feedback you post and it is helping us decide what features to build next. We are looking at ways to make the social side of the app even better and more competitive.
Thanks for being part of the journey. See you on the leaderboard.
